How I got into design.
I grew up in a family of musicians and artists, so creating things always came naturally to me. As a kid I loved colors, did well in art classes, and learned to play instruments. Making something out of nothing was just part of growing up in our house.
I’ve been designing for as long as I can remember. It started with MS Paint, then Photoshop, and by college I was already doing user interface design. I studied Computer Engineering, and that course taught me the technical side of design: how systems work and how to build things that hold up.
After a few years in tech, I made design my full-time career and grew from designer to creative lead. Today I’m a Senior Creative Designer, and I still work the way I learned in both worlds: with an artist’s eye and an engineer’s structure.
